Kaitek Design Bureau performs engineering calculations and development of design documentation. The company cooperates with Russian and foreign customers. The head of the Kaitek design bureau approached us with the task of making a new website design. Together with the design update, we redesigned the structure of the main landing pages, worked with the positioning of services and the brand, and made search engine optimization.

Reworked positioning and structure information
The main services provided by KB Kaitek are non-standard: solving problems using the finite element analysis method. Often, customer requests are unique: engineering calculations are needed in various industries, they can not always be reused when expanding a business.
We have proposed for all pages a typical block 'How we work', in which we have described a scheme of interaction with KB 'Kaitek' that is understandable for non-specialists. We made an “About us” block in which we described the advantages of working with a design bureau and its rich experience.
Additionally, they indicated a list of regulatory documentation for solving typical problems in the field of engineering calculations. Its use can significantly reduce the cost of developing a simple, standard set of design documentation. The list turned out to be quite impressive: it takes up more than half of the screen.

services of KB 'Kaitek'
Description of Kaitek design bureau services contains a lot of special terminology: we tried to generalize the description of each service in such a way as to correspond to a wide range of possible customers.
On each page of the services, the block 'Types of calculations' was marked, in which they listed both the final engineering systems for which such calculations are performed. For each type of calculation, a typical composition of the report based on its results was proposed. It described a set of documents that the customer will receive. Indicated the possibility of changing the standard package of documents for an individual request.
Together with the customer, we worked out examples of work for each of the services. Examples not only show the experience of the team: they help potential clients better understand the scope of the services and what they will receive after the completion of the work.
We came up with a new design style
The design used slightly modified colors of the tricolor: background white, blue, accent red. MazzardH was chosen as the font. The design used geometric structures, assembled a set of icons from thin lines.
Picked up illustrations
For each service, we have selected an illustration showing its main direction. It turned out to be a challenge for the designers!
On the first screen of the landing pages, we placed photos of industrial facilities to visually reinforce the positioning of the design bureau - this is how we show the areas of its activity: industrial facilities, production, energy facilities.

Designed website and placed it on the customer's hosting
At the request of the customer, we made a site on a pure html/css/js: specialists of KB 'Kaitek' are able to work with the layout on their own. To do this, we had to abandon the reusable components in php.

Decorated website with animations
An animated red bar was placed on the first screen of each landing as a corporate style element.
An unusual solution was added to the background layer: when the cursor moves, moving geometric animations appear. They successfully complement the overall feeling of the site with dynamics.
Done search engine optimization
Search engines love clean html code. The site loads quickly and displays correctly on all devices.
In addition, the customer does not use the metric webvisor, which significantly reduces page loading speed.
For each page, we defined a narrow group of queries using wordstat, and, based on the queries, made headings H1, Title, Description tag, alt tags.
